Carol Ann Wilson, 61, of Ririe, died at home Wednesday, February 14, 2007.
Carol was born April 14, 1945 at Murray, Utah a daughter to Frank Yates Paget and Dawna V Hiatt Paget.
She married Jim Wilson December 20, 1962 at Sandy, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, February 5, 1965.
Carol was the oldest of 6 children; three sisters a two brothers, She attended Sandy Elementary, Mt. Jordan Jr. High and Jordan High School in Sandy, Utah. She was a Paper Editor, Reporter and Assistant Editor during her school years. She was also a member of the Charlonians and the Acapella Singing Group. She loved Music and at age 15 she was called to be the Sunday School Chorister and went on to serve as chorister in Primary, Jr. and Sr. Sunday School and Sacrament Meeting Chorister for 46 years. She also served a Sunday School and Primary Teacher and Camp Director. She served on the Primary and Relief Society Stake Boards and in various Presidencies. She loved to read. There aren’t too many books in the world that Carol hasn’t read. She also served as Elementary and High School Librarian in Ririe for several years and worked in the Special Education program there. She was also one of the favorite Substitute teachers there. She was very active in the Ririe Community and helped with many Jr. Miss Programs and enjoyed spending time with her friends playing cards and discussing books in the new Book Club she had started. The main thing that Carol loved to do was spend time traveling with her husband, Jim to all of her children, and then her grandchildren’s, various activities; whether it be sports, plays or musical programs, Carol was always there cheering the loudest. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
Survivors include: husband, Jim Wilson of Ririe, three daughters: Jill (Tom) McCann of Rawlins, Wyoming, Jennifer (Michael) Dillon of Middleton, Idaho, Jodi (Brian) Himes of Emmett, Idaho, two sons: James (Lorraine) Wilson of Rigby and Jed (Melony) Wilson of Ririe, three sisters: Gloria (Dick) Crane, Betty Bushman and Cindy (Duane) Davis and one brother Bryan Paget, and 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Bruce Paget.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ririe Stake Center with Bishop Dan Skene officiating. The family will visit with friends at the Ririe Stake Center Sunday from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
