Carolyn Faye Leonard Jepsen

March 16, 1942 — June 4, 2017

Carolyn Faye Leonard Jepson, 75, passed away peacefully at home in Idaho Falls June 4, 2017 from causes incident to age and COPD. Carolyn was born March 16, 1942 to Louis Faye and Emilie Minerva Gibbons Leonard. She spent her youth growing up and attending schools in Idaho Falls.  Following graduation from high school, she attended a business college in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Later she married Darrel Jepsen and they had two sons, JayDee and Jack.  They lived in Ucon as well as Preston, Idaho and Spokane, Washington. The Jepsen, Leonard and Christensen families built a cabin in Island Park where the families, relatives, and friends spent many happy days boating, fishing and snowmobiling. Carolyn had a unique loving independent spirit. Her passion was reading and she was always surrounded by books until she discovered she could download hundreds of books onto a small electronic handheld device.  She then learned to keep in contact with family via texts and pictures.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Carolyn is survived by a brother Jim Leonard; two sisters Barbara Christensen and Debbie Leonard; sons JayDee (Katarinia) and Jack (Nancy); and various nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, 4023 East 300 North, Rigby, ID. 83442.
