Charlene LeRee Munns passed away Sept. 28, 2010 at Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah due to complications incident to open heart surgery. She was born May 30, 1954 in Rigby, Idaho to Howard Alvin and Verda LeRee Ellis Munns. She attended Schools in Menan, Midway, and Rigby. She graduated from Rigby High School and attended Ricks College. She worked at Bonneville County Sheriff’s office for 37 years. She served in numerous capacities and received several prestigious awards. At the time of her death was supervisor of the Civil Processing Department. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served as Ward Organist, Primary Pianist, Visiting Teacher, Relief Society Secretary, Young Women Secretary, & Ward Bulletin Director Charlene was a devoted daughter, a wonderful sister, and an amazing aunt. She is survived by her mother, Verda LeRee Munns, her brothers, Roger (Jacque) Munns of Washington D.C., & Hugh (Terry) Munns of Menan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Howard Alvin Munns and an older brother who died at birth. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday October 2nd at the Menan 2nd Ward chapel with Bp. Vance Nelson conducting. The family will receive friends Friday, October 1st from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and from 9:30 am to 10:45 am prior to services. Burial will be held at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel. The Bonneville County Honor Guard will participate in the services.
