Charles R. Maxwell

Charles R. Maxwell, 67, of Rigby, died Sunday January 14, 2007 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born December 29, 1939 in Merced, California to Andrew Jackson Maxwell and Laura Adeline Elliott Maxwell. He grew up in Chowchilla, California. He married Barbara Graham in Chowchilla, California July 1957. He moved his wife and three daughters to Lewisville, Idaho in 1971. He worked as a journeyman lineman for local union 449 in Pocatello, Idaho and traveled throughout the United States. Charlie enjoyed bear hunting with his dogs, fishing and horseback riding. He was a member of the Idaho Hounds Club. He was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1988. He was preceded in death by his infant son Ronald Jackson and father Andrew Jackson Maxwell. Survivors include his wife Barbara Maxwell, of Rigby, daughters, Laura Hayes (Greg) of Lewisville, Cathie McMurtrey (Sid) of Ririe, and Rhonda Durrant (John) of Rigby, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren his mother, Addie Maxwell siblings, Donny Maxwell, Larry Maxwell, Donna Lea and Bonnie Bartley from Madera, California, and June Maxwell from Cleveland, Oklahoma. In respect to Charlie’s wishes there will only be a graveside service at Rigby Pioneer Cemetery Thursday, January 18, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
