Charlotte Sessions Bahr, 58, of Tetonia, Idaho, died November 29, 2008, in an automobile accident near Tetonia, Idaho.
Charlotte was born April 15, 1950, in Idaho Falls, Idaho and was the 5th of 7 children born to Fay & Ruth Sessions.
She graduated from Bonneville High School in 1968 and graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s of Education in 1972.
She married her high school sweetheart, Dean Bahr in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 13, 1971
Charlotte and Dean have lived in various locations around the U.S., including Tetonia, Idaho, Greeley, Colorado, Logan, Utah and Liberal, Kansas. She taught elementary school in Ammon, Idaho, Tetonia, Idaho, Liberal, Kansas and Driggs, Idaho. She had a special knack for lifting up the underdog and giving personal attention to those who needed it.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions including Stake and Ward Young Women, ward organist, Primary, Relief Society, and was most recently called to serve in the Stake Primary Presidency.
Charlotte loved horses, quilting, grandchildren, and about any person she came across. Her musical talents on the piano and organ were beyond description. She loved Dean and her boys with all her heart.
She is survived by her husband, Dean Bahr, her two sons, Matthew (Bronwyn) Bahr, Bradley (Amber) Bahr, her two special grandchildren, Cadence Ashley and Sayde Ruth, her sisters Carol (Bill) Manwill, Janie (Larry) Bird, Deena (Paul) Bodily, and her brothers Stanley (Linda) Sessions, Reid Sessions, and Ronald (Francis) Sessions. She was preceded in death by her parents Fay and Ruth Sessions.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Tetonia 1st Ward Chapel, with Bishop Brent Robson, conducting. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, both at the church. Interment will be in the Cache Clawson Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
