Cheryl Lee Coy

Cheryl Lee Coy (71) passed away after a long hard-fought battle with cancer on January 13, 2020 at her home in Winnemucca, Nevada. Cheryl was born on January 27, 1948 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Hadley and Vonda Sorensen.

As a child, Cheryl lived all over Idaho and Oregon on various ranches before finally settling in Roberts, Idaho. She met the love of her life, Randy in Roberts, Idaho and the two were married in 1977. The couple remained in Roberts, Idaho until the early 1990's when they moved to Winnemucca, NV. Randy and Cheryl shared 3 children together as well as many laughs, memories and love during their over 40 years of marriage together.

Cheryl loved going to car shows, working in her yard and taking care of her cats.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband; Randy, her children; Dustin (Anna) Coy of University Place, WA and Miranda (Steve Coutts) Hall of Winnemucca, Nevada. Grandchildren; Shauntae (Steve) Kenner, Alex Coy, Samantha Coy, Travis Coy, Rachel Coy, Corbin Bennett and Grayson Bennett, Great-Grandchildren; Regan Kenner, Lynden Kenner and Kye Kenner. As well as siblings; Pete (Linda) Sorenson, Jerry (Kelly) Sorensen and Jennie (Jeff) Dudley and her best friend of over 50 years Roxanne Stanger.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Hadley and Vonda Sorensen, daughter; Charlene Deputy and brother; Mark Sorensen.

Services for Cheryl will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Eckersell's Funeral Home in Rigby, Idaho. Visitation at 11:30 am with the service to follow at 1pm.
