Christine Walker, age 58, of Rigby, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg. Christine was born January 12, 1954, in Rexburg, Idaho a daughter to Jess Bert Larsen and Lola Elaine Fyfe Larsen. She was raised and attended schools in Archer and Rexburg, graduating from Madison High School. She continued her education at Ricks College and ISU and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught elementary education at Harwood Elementary in Rigby for 17 years and at Victor Elementary in Victor for 7 years. She married Claude “Earl” Walker on June 30, 1973 in Archer. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Christine was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed riding horses, cake decorating, crocheting, and teaching. She is survived by her husband, Earl Walker, of Rigby, daughter, Kimberly Christy Gonzales, of Billings, Montana, son, Kirk William (Heidi) Walker, of Covington, Washington, sister, Jody (Michael) Miller, of Logan, Utah, brothers, Dale (Deana) Larsen, of Rigby, Robert (Karen) Larsen, of Archer, and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Skye Gonzales Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the Clark Ward LDS Chapel, 198 N. 4300 E., Rigby, with Bishop Kent Rolfe, conducting. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Friday evening at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby and from 11:30 to 12:45, prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
