Christopher Lavar Hansen

Christopher LaVar Hansen, age 56, of Burton, Idaho died at his home on Tuesday, August 21, 2018.

Chris was born May 18, 1962 in Rexburg, Idaho a son of Vearl LaVar Hansen and Loa Lee Hansen. Chris was raised in Burton and graduated from Madison High School.  He continued his education at VOTEC and received his Ag Mechanics certificate.  He worked at Larsen Farms, Corneilson Farms and helped on the family farm.

Chris worked on his Jeep, loved cars, riding his Harley, car shows and was an avid snowmachiner. He had a heart of gold, liked dogs and only one cat.  Everyone loved him, and he would do anything for you.  He will be missed greatly.

Chris is survived by his brothers, Clinton Lee (Jeanine Harrop) Hansen, Clifford Vearl Hansen, Clark Kay (Joyce) Hansen, nieces and nephews, Paige Hansen, Brach Hansen, Kendra Wilcox, Morgan Tolman and Seth Rutledge.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents Vearl and Loa Hansen.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Burton West Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The family will visit with friends on Monday evening from 7:00- 8:30 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and prior to the service on Tuesday from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. at the church.  Burial will be at the Burton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com .
