Clair Goody

Frank Clair Goody, 71, of Rigby, passed away, Sunday, January 11, 2009, at his home. He was born July 15, 1937, in Rigby to Frank Fisher Goody and Rhoda Jane Ellis Goody. He was raised and attended schools in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School. On November 20, 1960, he married Elaine Mary Westergard in Elko, Nev. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was a farmer in the Rigby area all of his life and worked at Idaho Fresh Pack in Lewisville and also retired in 2002 from working at the Bonneville School District. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Hometeacher and a High Priest. He was an active member of both the National Chariot Association and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Posse. For many years he raced quarter horses in the Intermountain West. He enjoyed trail riding with his family and friends and especially loved the time he got to spend with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Goody, of Rigby, two daughters, Joleen (Kirk) Hutchison of Idaho Falls, Sheila (Ted) Orgill from Rigby; two son Bill (Tammy) Goody from Rigby, and Bryon (Shelley) Goody from Pocatello; two sisters Gwen and Linda, 13 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Clair was preceded in death by his parents Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rigby Stake Center with Bishop Robert Devine officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel and prior to the service from 11:30 – 12:30 at the Rigby Stake Center. Interment will be at the Lewisville Cemetery.
