Clarence (Curly) Shore, 94, of Ririe, passed away on Friday August 10th 2018 at his home, surrounded by family and friends. Curly was born March 22nd 1924, in La Belle Idaho, the only son of Charles Oliver and Emma Zitlau Shore.
Curly attended school in Swan Valley, and Rigby Idaho, graduating from Rigby High School in 1942. He married Tresa Adamson in Ririe, Idaho in 1942. To this union were born 5 children, Sandra Lee, William Charles, Judith Anne, Rocky Clarence, and Jill. They were later divorced.
He served in the Air Force during World War 2 as a pilot, flying a P51 Mustang. After being discharged from the Army, Curly moved to California, where he worked at 3 electrical shops. Missing the mountains of Idaho, he moved back from California and worked at the INEL, worked his own pump business, had his own electrical business and RV shop, worked for R&R Electric, and Eagle Eye Farms. He enjoyed camping, golfing, hunting, and fishing.
He married Rosemary Miller Parr on January 16th, 1991 in Ririe Idaho. Curly and Rosemary were married for 27 years. In that time, they created many happy memories, as they shared their lives together. They adored each other, and had a love that was one of a kind.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and served in various capacities, including, assistant scout leader and home teacher. He touched many lives, and showed great concern for each individual he served.
He is survived by his wife Rosemary, Daughter Jill (Cordell) Olsen, and sons William Shore of Idaho Falls, and Rocky (Karen) Shore of Idaho Falls. 10 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Emma, two daughters, Sandra Barker, and Judith Phillips.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 16th 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Ririe LDS Stake Center (14061 N 130 E, Ririe, Idaho). The family with meet with friends Wednesday, August 15th from 7:00-8:30 pm at Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main Street, Rigby), and again on Thursday, prior to the services from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the Stake Center in Ririe. Interment will be in Ririe Shelton Cemetery. We share our appreciation to Nuclear Care Partners and Hands of Hope Home Health and Hospice for their kind and loving care.
