Claudia Lea Bowen Wood of Rexburg, passed away on Wednesday October 28, 2015. Claudia was born March 17, 1942 in McGill, Nevada the fourth child of Lewis W. and Mary H. Bowen. At age six, the family moved to Archer, Idaho, where Claudia attended school. She often played the ukulele and sang with her sister Sandra all over the valley, passing her love of music on to her family. She married Roger K. Wood, September 25, 1959 in Rexburg, Idaho. To this 56 year union, two children were born, Angela and Christian. Along with being Roger’s right hand as a farming wife, she worked at The Classic Shoppe, Deb’n Heir, Diet Center, Dillard’s and partnered with Roger in many business ventures. Beautiful, elegant, kind, and fun, she was well loved by all. Her sense of humor will be missed greatly. Claudia is survived by her husband Roger; daughter Angela (Kevin) Hill; son Christian Wood; grandchildren Kelly B. (Tiffany C.) Colborn, Christian Wyatt Wood, and Kaidree McKall Wood; step grandchildren Devon (Tonya) Rasmussen, Nick (Kathleen) Hill, Darcy (Jesse) Farrer, Kristin (Kelly) Reese, and Lacey Hill; 18 great grandchildren: sisters Venice (Ken) Clowdus, Sandra Regalia, Kathleen (Burton) Phillips, brother Monte L. (Jo Ann) Bowen, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Connie, and brother Blaine. Private family services will be held at a later date.
