Cleo Lavon Radford, 84 of Rigby, died Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at the Rexburg Nursing Center from complications of Cancer.
Cleo was born May 4, 1919, at Melba, Idaho a daughter of James Leon Gallup and Lina Lavon Coles Gallup. She attended Antelope and Clark Schools. She married Etsel Henry Radford March 2, 1935 in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple July 15, 1948. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Sarah Howard Camp. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she had served in the Primary Organization for many years, and in the Scouting and Relief Society. She was currently serving as a Visiting Teacher. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing with her husband and was constantly cleaning and cooking fish.
Survivors include: 3 sons; Max Etsel (Treasa) Radford, Lynn Henry (Cindy) Radford and Kevin Leon (Kathy) Radford all of Rigby, 2 sisters Verta (Ray) Corgatelli of Mackay, Idaho and Itha Wilken of Boise, Idaho, and 1 brother Lawrence (Eva) Gallup of Shelley, Idaho, 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 son, 2 daughters and 1 grandson.
Funeral services will be held Monday January 19, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the Perry Ward LDS Chapel in Rigby with Bishop Jerry Parker officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel o Rigby.
