Cleora Ricks Ward

Cleora Ricks Ward was born on October 14, 1939 and passed away on June 26, 2021 of natural causes.  She was doing what she loved, reading a book, when she slipped to the other side.  She is the daughter of Earl and Opal Ricks.  She is the 3 ^rd child of 10 and has always been very close to her siblings; 3 of which preceded her in death and the rest have been amazing support to her over the years through her good and not so good times.

She met and married her eternal companion, best friend and confidant Clayton Bowles Ward on December 18, 1958.  He has been waiting for her on the other side for 19 years.

She raised 5 children Carrie (Dale) Arnold, Cyndee (Jerry Parker), Cathy (Garry) Anderson, Clayton (Audrey) Ward, and Chadwin Ward.

She is also survived by her sisters, Karen Lott of Murtaugh, Idaho, Nina Moore of Twin Falls, Idaho, Joann Biggs of Murtaugh, Idaho, brothers, Dale (Jeanette) Ricks of Gooding, Idaho, Dee Ricks of Kimberley, Idaho, Tim (Jeanette) Ricks of Rexburg, Idaho, 16 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren.

Cleora was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Chad Ward; sisters, Opal Earleen Scott, Delaine Stewart, and Ruby Ricks; and one grandson.

Mom loved life, she loved to laugh and she loved to encourage those around her to laugh.  She knew and taught that life was to be a journey filled with joy and happiness, faith and love, knowing that Christ is walking with you every step of the way.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. July 6, 2021 at the Ririe Stake Center, 14061 N 130 E, Ririe, ID 83443 There will be a viewing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., preceding the service.  Interment will follow in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.  Services are under the care of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby.
