Clyde R. Beck, age 78 of Menan, died at his home in Menan, Sunday, August, 28, 2005.
Clyde was born December 13, 1926 at Burton, Idaho a son of William Beck and Rosa Rottweiler Beck. He attended schools in Hamer and Menan Graduating from Midway High School.
Cllyde served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Japan Occupation.
He married Maurine Poole November 17, 1950 in the Idaho Falls Temple. He farmed in the Menan area all of his life. He served on the Menan CoOp Board, Long Island Canal Company Board, Great Feeder Canal Board, Committee of Nine and Production Credit Association Board. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held the office of Elder.
Survivors include: his wife Maurine Beck of Menan, 2 sons: Craig William (Kris) Beck of Chandler, Arizona, Eric Clyde (Julie) Beck of Menan, Idaho, 2 sisters: Lois Hawker of Payett, Idaho and LaRue (Jay) Marchant of Grant, Idaho 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandson, 1 sister and 1 brother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 1, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the Menan LDS Stake Center with Bishop Spencer Kelsey officiating. The family will visit with friends at the Menan Stake Center on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
