Clyde Boyce

September 16, 1938 — August 18, 2017

Edward Clyde Boyce, age 78 of Lewisville, passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls Friday, August 18, 2017. Clyde was born September 16, 1938 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, a son to Martha Fern Puzey and Reed Smoot Boyce. He attended schools in Lewisville and Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School.  He then attended Ricks College for one year.  He married Joan Green on May 19, 1958 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.  He farmed all his life in the Lewisville and Menan areas and was a dairy farmer for over 50 years.  He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Sunday School President, in Elders Quorum Presidencies, on the Menan Stake High Council and as Bishop of the Lewisville 1st Ward.  He and his wife served in the Idaho Falls Temple.  He enjoyed Draft horses and showed them at the Eastern Idaho State Fair.  He was a member of the Eastern Idaho Draft Horse Association.  Along with draft horses he also raised beef cattle.  One of his greatest joys was getting to watch all of his grandchildren play their various sporting activities. Survivors include: his wife Joan Boyce of Lewisville, two daughters: Carla (Russell) Raza of Green River, Wyoming, and Colleen (Wade) Charles of Rigby, two sons: Alan (Janine) Boyce of Idaho Falls and Rodney (Yvette) Boyce of Lewisville, a sister Marilyn (Terry) McGraw of Flagstaff, Arizona, two brothers: Ronald (Norma) Boyce of Edmond, Washington and Dean (Dorothy) Boyce of Menan, twenty grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Nathan Blake Boyce Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at 12:00 noon in the Lewisville LDS Church, 474 North 3450 East, Lewisville. The family will visit with friends at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho 83442, Monday, August 21, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church, from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery.
