Clyve "Theo" Taylor

Clyve “Theo” Taylor, 93, was born June 18, 1930 to Clyve Lorenzo Taylor and Edna Gregory Morrison Taylor in Preston, Idaho. Theo passed away October 11, 2023 at home in Terreton Idaho with his family by his side. He was under the care of his family and Eden Health Hospice.

Theo was the oldest of 8 children. He grew up and attended school in Preston, Idaho graduating in 1948. Shortly thereafter, he was drafted into the Army to serve during the Korean War. Following his service, he returned to Mud Lake, Idaho where he farmed and did whatever he needed to do to help provide for his parents and siblings including driving truck, construction and any other odd job available.

Theo married Rosalind Gay Anderson on June 17, 1955 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they have 8 children: Diann (Steve, deceased) Ozburn, Renee (Earl) Bradford, Vicki (Steve) Vadnais, Sandra (Kirt) Hansen, Fawn (Kirk) Robins, Ivan (Angie) Taylor, Kevin Taylor, and Grace Ann (Tate) Russell.

Theo was the most happy when he was spending time with his family teaching them to hunt and fish, and supporting them in all their various activities. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had many callings during his lifetime and enjoyed serving in all of them.

Theo is survived by his wife Rosie, all his children, 29 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter; his sisters Jean Foster and Faye Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, MaryAnn, four brothers: Joe, Wayne, Brent, and Ellis; all of his grandparents, and a grandson, Hagen Robins.

Funeral services for Theo will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Terreton LDS Stake Center. The family will meet with friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow the funeral service at the West Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery.
