Cody John Polson, 43 of Idaho Falls, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
Cody was born February 12, 1974 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Max Dee Polson and Linda Ann Williamson Polson. He was a graduate of Bonneville High School, then continued his education at Idaho State University. On April 28, 2000, he married the love of his life, Annie Beth Thompson, in Rexburg, Idaho; their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple April 28, 2012. They were blessed with 2 sons, Conner Bradley and Gavin Kelly, and a daughter Lily Estrella.
Cody was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a fulltime missionary in the Tulsa, Oklahoma mission. He enjoyed scouting and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America program. Cody worked for Boise Cascade and Anderson Lumber, he also worked in masonry, building several Home Depots across the western United States. Over the last 12 years, he worked for the City of Idaho Falls as a truck driver.
Cody enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved football, and was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He also had a knack for football statistics. He especially loved his children and his dog Zeus.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Beth Polson; sons, Conner Bradley Polson (15), Gavin Kelly Polson (10); daughter, Lily Estrella Griffiths-Polson (4); mother, Linda Polson; sisters, Kris (Russ) Meyers, Alisa Polson, Alexas Polson, all of Idaho Falls; and brother, Mike (Angie) Polson of Kaysville, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his father, Max Dee Polson; brother, Bradley Polson, and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 20, 2017 at the North Idaho Falls Stake Center, 955 Memorial Drive, Idaho Falls, Idaho. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to service, both at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
