Colleen Harrop Scott

Colleen Harrop Scott, 54, of Rigby, passed away Monday, Oct 20, 2014. She was born September 7, 1960 to Lovell Harrop and Melba Olsen Harrop. She spent her early childhood in Shelley and later moved to Rigby where she graduated from Rigby High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Doug Scott, and they raised their family in Rigby. Colleen enjoyed working and playing with her husband, Doug, and her family. She loved time spent together riding the motorbike and snowmobiling in the winter. She also enjoyed working in her yard and garden. But her life-long love was spent riding her horses. She shared this love of horses with her family and many other people. Colleen was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved to serve. She especially enjoyed working with the youth. Colleen was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Doug; daughter, Mistie Searle (Toby); son, Ty Scott (Kari); daughter, Tammi Hunting (Jeff); daughter, Cindy Cazier (Matt); 7 grandchildren; father, Lovell Harrop (Lorraine); and sister, Kathy Cheney(Darrell) ; She was preceded in death by her mother, Melba Harrop, and brother, Larry Harrop. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Menan Stake Center, 698 N. 3600 E. Menan. The family will visit with family and friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services, Friday, both at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
