Colleen Anetta Wilson, 66 of Rexburg, passed away November 15, 2013 at her home.
She was the second child of Guy and Anetta Reid, born in Rexburg, Idaho on July 29th, 1947. She attended Madison High School then went on to beauty school in Idaho Falls.
She met Richard Wilson and was married October 9, 1971. They made their home in Rexburg and later moved back to her family’s homestead in Lyman where they raised their children and were able to be close to family. She had two children, Heather Wilson Conrad and Richard Wilson. She was later divorced and found companionship for over 20 years with Jeff Wade.
Colleen did hair for many years in her home. She was also the head housekeeper at the Cotton Tree in Rexburg for many years until she retired four years ago to enjoy making her crafts and crocheting afghans for friends and families. She was always willing to help anyone who was in need. She was full of life and laughter. Any life she touched was enriched.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Anetta Reid, a baby brother Tilden Reid, her ex-husband, Richard C. Wilson and her companion Jeff Wade. Surviving family is her daughter Heather Wilson (Scott) Conrad of Rigby and her son Richard (Christie) Wilson of Shelley and one granddaughter Taylor Cox.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lyman LDS Chapel 1952 West 6000 South, Rexburg. The family will visit with friends Tuesday November 19, 2013 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel 101 West Main Street, Rigby, and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Lyman LDS Church.
Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
