Connie Mae Fowler Gohr Campbell 73 passed away October 24, 2008. While under the loving care of the staff at Mallory House. Connie Mae Fowler was born June 8, 1935 to John Leland Fowler and Zora Denning Fowler in Woodville, Idaho. She attended school in Shelley and Firth before her parents moved to Utah where her father found work on road construction during the depression. She began third grade in Farmington and Bountiful Utah schools. The family returned to Shelley. Connie continued her education in Shelley, New Sweden and Idaho Falls. On June 1, 1953 she married Jack Howard Gohr. She worked at the Sacred Heart Hospital while her new husband served in the army in Korea. After his discharge they lived in Ashton, Idaho for a short time before becoming owners of the Gohr’s Berry Ranch in Menan. During these busy happy times in their lives eight children blessed their lives. Four son’s Douglas (Katrina) Gohr of Meridian, Idaho; Clayton (Donna) Gohr of Rangley, Colorado; Dan (Kay) Gohr of Rexburg; Dwight (deceased). Daughters Connie (DelRay) Page of Rigby; Debra (Robert) Wood of Victor; Carol (Dale) Rawlins of Menan; Carla (Delane) Anderson from Chubbuck, 33 Grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Connie and Jack were divorced after twenty five years of marriage. Connie worked at Idaho Fresh Pak (Idahoan Foods) for nearly 30 years, she made many life long friends while working there. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved working with the children in Primary and nursery. She was a visiting teacher and visiting teacher supervisor. On February 9, 1982, Connie married Dean Turner Campbell in Jack-Pot Nevada. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Besides her own eight children Connie became Mom to Dean’s eight children. Four sons: Mark Campbell of Island Park, Ben (Norma) Campbell of Idaho Falls, Morry (Sue) Campbell of Helena, Montana; Berry (Penny) Campbell of California. Four daughters: Penny (Jay) Stevens of Idaho Falls, Pam (Ben) Smith of Texas, Rhesa Campbell and Trudy Campbell of Montana. Numerous step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren, and several Foster daughters. Connie is also survived by her step-mom, Minnie Fowler of Idaho Falls, Brother, John (Pat) Fowler of American Falls; sisters Sharon (Charles) Roos of Idaho Falls; Maxine (George) Baker of Boise and her faithful friend Joe Moser of Idaho Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son; Dwight, great grandson: Jade Ryan Page and husband Dean Campbell. Funeral services will be held 11a.m. on Wednesday October 29, 2008 at the Thayer Wood LDS Chapel 5255 South 5th West. The Family will visit with friends on Tuesday October 28, 2008 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street Rigby, Idaho, and prior to the service Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Internment will be at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at the Mallory House and The Hands of Hope Hospice for their gentle loving care in her final days.
