Connie Joyce Crystal Reed

Connie Joyce Crystal Reed, 86, or Ririe, Idaho passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at her home.

Connie was born June 25, 1938, in Poplar, Idaho, the daughter of Schley Dewey Fox and Twila Frances McMurtrey Fox. She attended schools in Ririe, Idaho and graduated from Ririe High School.

Connie married Gary Zay Crystal on November 23, 1956, in Poplar, Idaho. They later divorced. On September 23, 1989, Connie married Jerry Dean Read in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She worked as a seamstress for Robison’s Distribution Incorporated.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, Connie had opportunity to serve a family history mission to Raleigh, North Carolina. She enjoyed bird watching, crocheting, painting, reading, picture taking, and family history and temple work.

Connie is survived by her sons; Curtis G. Crystal of Boise, Idaho and Brian K. Crystal of Ririe, Idaho.  Eight grandchildren; Sabreena Eld, Casey Crystal, Breanna Crystal, Derek Crystal, Brandon Crystal, Katrina Crystal, Kelsey Myler and Emily Crystal. Ten great grandchildren.

Connie was preceded in death by spouses, Gary Crystal and Jerry Reed. Two sons’; Brent Crystal, Craig Crystal and all her siblings.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 3:00 pm in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, (4023 East 300 North, Rigby, Idaho.)
