Connie Kay Schlueter Nelson

April 2, 1949 — January 11, 2015

On Sunday, January 11 our loving mother, Connie Kay Schlueter Nelson, began a season of slumber. She left this life peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, until the sunrise of God's great promise. Born in St. Louis Missouri April 2, 1949 to Gordon Carl Schlueter and Alma Ethel Inman. She was raised in Sacramento California, attended Bella Vista High School, and went to Ricks College. She married Ray L Nelson of Rigby, Idaho September 27, 1968 in the Logan Utah Temple. They raised their 8 children in Centralia, Illinois and served many years in the Centralia Ward of the LDS church. She was an employee of the LDS church for 20 years in Salt Lake City, Utah, where her family resides. Connie was a talented photographer and her life's work, her family, was the focus of her photos. She is survived by her husband Ray L Nelson, 8 Children: Judy Seigfried (Gregg), Karl Nelson, Rachel Hardy (Jeff), Aaron Nelson, Laura Kleinman (Darin), Alma Waterbury (Shane), April Kerby, Heather Burger (Paul), her brother Brach Schlueter (Lisa) and 31 beautiful grandchildren, who are the joy of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Becky Wheeler (Bill). Services will be held Wednesday, January 14 at 11:00am in the Salt Lake Stake 19th Ward (225 West 500 North). A viewing will be held prior to services from 9:30-10:45. Interment January 15 at 2:00 pm in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, Rigby ID.
