Corala Lee “Carla” Ryan passed away December 16, 2023 at Idaho Falls Community Hospital. She was born March 2, 1947 in Rigby, Idaho.

Carla was the youngest child of Roy Andrew Mobley and Nellie Ethel Ormond Mobley. She joined a family of four sisters and one brother.

She grew up in Menan and attended schools  in Menan and Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School in 1965.

On June 22, 1971 she married Earl Edward “Ed” Ryan in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Menan and raised their four children there.

After high school she attended Glen E. Clark Business College and Ricks College. She earned her LPN nurses license from the LDS hospital in Idaho Falls in 1971 and worked there for a little less than a year. She happily exchanged her nursing career to be a stay at home mom. Once her youngest child started school she began her 25 year career as a culinary chef aka “lunch lady”. She retired from the Jefferson School District 251 school lunch program in 2013 when her husband needed full time care after an accident.

Carla was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. She held may positions including relief society secretary, primary teacher, and librarian.

In her spare time she enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching game shows, spending time with family, cooking, baking, and trying new recipes.

She is survived by daughters Angie Campbell of Idaho Falls, Trinna Ryan of Pocatello, Jenny Ryan of Menan, and son Aaron (ShaRae) Ryan of Menan. Five grandchildren Jaron Ryan, Brielle Ryan, Jenevieve Campbell, Ledger Ryan, and Kolter Campbell. Three sisters Ellen Wages of Idaho Falls ID, Devona (Roy) Bowles of Peterborough, Ontario Canada, Utahana Olaveson of Menan and sister-in-law Nikki Mobley of Idaho Falls. She is proceeded in death by her husband Ed, her parents, sister Virjean Mobley, brother Vernon Mobley, and brothers-in-law Wayne Olaveson, and Fenner Wages.

Funeral services will be held Friday December 22, 2023 at 11am at the Menan Stake Center 698 North 3600 East Menan Idaho, 83434 the family will visit with friends Thursday evening from 6-7:30pm and prior to the funeral from 9:30am to 10:45am both at the Stake Center. Burial will follow at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
