Cordelle M. Chapman, age 96, died at Good Samaritan Center in Idaho Falls Friday, February 10, 2006.
Cordelle was born on January 30, 1910, in Rigby, Idaho a daughter of Levi Sorensen and Eliza A. Sayer Sorensen. She was raised and attended school in Rigby and graduated from the Rigby High School. Cordelle married Truman Purser Chapman on November 17, 1943 in Grant, Idaho. He preceded her in death. She was active in the cub scouts for a number of years. Cordelle farmed with her husband in the Rigby area. Coredelle loved what God made available to all of us and the beauty of nature, sunsets, mountains, wild flowers and all of his creations great and small.
Cordelle is survived by her four children, Sandra Fullmer of Menan, Paul (Karyl) Chapman of Idaho Falls, Marylyn (Demar) Baron of Santa Ana, California and Marlene (Hal) Clark of Rigby, one sister Joyce Hohimer of Scappoose, Oregon, 24 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
Cordelle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother and sisters Cloyde, Vern, Alta Windler, Clarence and Mary.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
