Dale Taylor Clay, age 87, of Red Bluff, California, died at Red Bluff Health Care Center
Saturday, July 5, 2008.
Dale was born July 31, 1920 at Idaho Falls a son of Everett Holley Clay and Myrtle Alice Dale Clay. He attended schools at Sunny Dell, Archer and Madison High School. Dale served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1947. He married Ethel Grace Plumb, June 10, 1967 in Reno, Nevada. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years in farming, road construction and a rock quarry. He was an equipment salesman for International in Rexburg and later John Deer in Terreton. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but especially enjoyed dancing and was a beautiful dancer. He and his wife Ethel were dance instructors in Archer Ward in the 70’s.
Survivors include his wife Ethel Grace Clay of Red Bluff, California, step-daughters Beverly Jane Watson of Kentucky, Bonnie Janelle Hanks of Arizona and Barbara Jean Laurence of Sacramento, California, 2 sons Gary Lee Clay of Rigby, Philip Miles Clay of Nampa, Idaho, and a step-son Donald R. Hanks of Kentucky, 1 sister Enid Bergerner of Rexburg, Idaho and a brother Budge C. Clay of Rexburg, 8 grandchildren and 20 Great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Dianne Azuello.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2008 at the Sutton Cemetery, Archer, Idaho under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
