Dale Lee Hiatt, age 66, of Rigby, died Saturday, October 11, 2003, at the Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho.
Dale was born October 5, 1937, at Ogden, Utah a son of Jesse Eliah Hiatt and Erma Drabble Hiatt. He graduated from Rigby High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 19 March 1957 to 8 March 1962. He married Erma Ruth Robinson November 6, 1965, at Rigby, Idaho.
He was a member of the Eagles Club in Rigby the South Fork Archers and the National Rifle Association. He served as a Scout Leader for a number of years, and coached Baseball, Tee Ball, and Little League. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, archery, hiking, grandkids and any place there wasn't a phone.
Survivors include: wife Erma Ruth Robinson of Rigby, 3 sons: Trent (Christina) Hiatt of Vernal, Utah, Thane Hiatt of Rigby, Idaho, Daren (GayeLynn) Hiatt of Rigby, 2 brothers: Jesse Hiatt of Ogden, Utah, Keith (Jolane) Hiatt of Fresno, California, and 8 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Erma Hiatt, a brother William Hiatt, and a grandson Joshua James Hiatt.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 13, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in the Rigby 7th Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Mike Maloney officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main Street, Rigby) and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 p.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the
Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel.
