Dale Lynn Jones

Dale Lynn Jones, 66 of Roberts, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017. Dale was born July 13, 1950 in American Falls, Idaho to Frank Lynn Jones and Melva L. Parrish Jones. He was raised in Sterling and Aberdeen, Idaho and attended Aberdeen High School. Dale served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. On December 9, 1973, he married Saundra Barnard in Elko, Nevada. They were blessed with 3 daughters and 2 sons. He worked for farmers in Fort Hall and Blackfoot, Idaho and for Cornelison Farms in Hamer, Idaho, before retiring in 2007. Dale enjoyed fishing and hunting and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Saundra Jones, of Roberts, Idaho; daughters, Tara (Scott) Torgerson, of Post Falls, Idaho, Britni (Robert) Barker, of Ammon, Idaho, Debbie (Steve) Sewell, of Syracuse, Utah; son, Travis Jones, of Logan Utah; dad, Von Jolley, of Aberdeen, Idaho; mother-in-law, Elsie Barnard, of Rigby, Idaho; brothers, Don (Kate) Jolley, of Aberdeen, Idaho, Dean (Jeri) Jolley of Aberdeen, Idaho, Richard (Kathy) Jolley, of American Falls, Idaho, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Melva Jolley; father, Lynn Jones; father-in-law, Howard Barnard; son, Alan Briggs; and great-grandson, Corwyn Schomer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday February 10, 2017 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Springfield Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
