Dana Lee Neville, 72, of Ririe, Idaho passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, in Idaho Falls.
Dana was born October 24, 1952, in Rigby, Idaho, the daughter of James David McMurtrey and
Leona Bertha Allen McMurtrey. Dana was a graduate of Ririe High School. Dana worked hard her entire life. She cleaned houses and businesses of all kinds for most of herlife before finally settling in as a caretaker for others. She was a kind person who loved to care
for others.Dana was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her ministering
brother and sister that looked over her and Steve for so many years. She loved her family,
camping, lunch with her brothers and sisters, and Chinese food.Dana is survived by her three children, daughter Shantell (Joey) Wilde of Ririe, ID, son Cody(Crossette) Neville of Idaho Falls, ID, and son Troy (Jodi) McMurtrey of Weatherford, TX. Dana
has 10 grandchildren (Kirsten McCowin, Crosslee Wilde, Trystan Wilde, Alexander Neville,
Jacob Neville, Benjamin Neville, Cora Neville, Nycole McMurtrey, Maddie McMurtrey, and
Bailee McMurtrey, as well as seven great-grandchildren.Dana is also survived by her seven brothers and sisters, James “Turk” (Trudy) McMurtrey,Audrey Henrie, Jill Wooten, Joseph (Ann Marie) McMurtrey, Sydney (Cathy) McMurtrey,
Stephanie Graham, and Carolyn Parke.She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Keith Neville, whom she cared for many years
as well as her parents, James and Leona McMurtrey and a brother Phillip McMurtrey.
Memorial services will be held for Dana on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 11:00am at the
Eckersell Funeral Home (101 West Main Street, Rigby, ID 83442), with a visitation to be held on
Tuesday evening, February 11 th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. There will also be a visitation prior to
the service on Wednesday from 9:300am to 10:45am. Interment service will be held at the Annis Cemetery following the memorial service.
A luncheon for family and close friends will be held following the interment ceremony. It will be
held at the Ririe Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 14061
130 th Rd., Ririe, ID 83443. Dana’s family expresses much appreciation to the Willow Creek Ward
for their ministering and support to them.Special thanks and appreciation is given to Alpine Home Health and Hospice and specifically to
Steven and Michelle Preston who were caregivers.
