Daniel Ray Mowery, Sr. born July 18, 1975 in Atlanta, Georgia, died from a
sudden illness sometime Wednesday, September 14, 2005. He was called home.
The Lord needs him more and he is at eternal peace.
From the time Daniel was born, he had been a sensitive, intelligent person.
After finishing high school, Daniel joined the United States Army. After
Airborne School and receiving his "blood wings", Daniel was invited to join
the Gentlemen of the Old Guard, the President's Escort and Ceremonial Guard.
Shortly before ending his military career, he met Kymberly Smith of Ririe,
Idaho. On August 14, 1999 Daniel and Kymberly were married in Archer,
Idaho. On January 18, 2002 they became parents of their only child, Daniel
Ray Mowery, Jr.
Daniel will be severely missed by his wife, Kym; son, Daniel, Jr.; his
grieving parents, Pamela McGrath and Bill Mowery; brothers, Richard Joseph
Purvis and wife Shelley, "Beau" Billy Lee Mowery, III; sister Meghan Mowery;
brother/cousins Brian and Jenny Martin, Kevin Martin; his Aunt Melinda
Martin; Uncle Stevan McGrath, Joseph and Darren Mowery, Charles Bitzis and
wife Vicki and son, Nicholas, Nicky Bitzis, Ricky Purvis, and Danny Purvis;
Aunts, Athena and Sharon Bitzis; Harry and wife Karen, and cousins,
Christopher and Travis McGrath; grandparents, Bill and Patty Mowery and Corma
and Dick Edwardes.
Daniel will also be missed by Kym's family, Roy and Myrna Smith,
Sister-in laws; Korri Pintar with her son Chase, Kristen Messaros and
husband Jeff and sons Trey and Andrew and soon to be daughter Ellie;
Grandparents; Merle and Zelda Brown and numerous aunts, uncle and cousins.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 12:00 noon in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the Ririe Stake Center from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Daniel Ray Mowery, Jr. at the Bank of Commerce in Ririe, Idaho.
