Danna Lynnette Tannler, 57, passed away Christmas Eve, December 24, 2009, peacefully in her home in Boise, Idaho after a courageous fight against cancer.
Danna was born March 5, 1952 in Oak Harbor, Washington to Harry and Beverly Wade. She spent most of her childhood in Ashton, Idaho as an outdoor Idaho girl with lots of animals around her. She graduated from North Fremont High School in 1970 and spent a year at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.
She then returned to Idaho and worked for the City of Idaho Falls for several years before marrying William Earl Tannler on June 22, 1976. The following years were filled with raising children and a little work here and there at the Studmill Lumber Company and the Horseshu Restaurant in St. Anthony, Idaho.
In 1980, Danna and family moved to Challis, Idaho where she worked at the Village Square Market as the produce manager. After six years or so in Challis, they moved to Ramona, California, Bill’s hometown. While there, she worked at the Village Store and Don’s Market continuing her work with a wonderful smile and great spirit.
Her tie to Idaho was strong and she returned for many visits throughout her years in California and then permanently in 2007 to be closer to her family.
Through her entire life, Danna was a committed caregiver to her family, always a devoted wife, mother, and grandma. She was spirited, loving, and gracious in all she touched. She enjoyed her church communites with First United Methodist Church in Boise and Grace Community Church in Ramona, California.
Danna is survived by her husband Bill Tannler; her daughter Melinda Cobbley and husband Chad; her son Mike Tannler and wife Melissa; her son Stephen Tannler, all of Boise and her sister Linda Miller and husband Brian of Rigby; and three grandchildren, McKenna, Kelvin, and Riley.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Wade and her parents.
