Darwin Derris Anderson, age 69, of Rigby, Idaho died Thursday, May 15, 2003, at his home.
Darwin was born on May 19, 1933, in Thornton, Idaho the son of LaReno Lamonte Anderson and Lillian Rose Lyman. He was raised in Thornton attending school in Thornton and Madison High. Darwin married Beth Welchman on December 30, 1991 in Rigby, Idaho. He was a member of the Upper Snake River Trappers Association, and the Idaho Trappers Association. He joined the Army in July of 1953 and served in the Korean war. Darwin worked as a custodian for the Jefferson School District #251 for 33 years. He also drove bus for them. Darwin was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting, fishing, trapping, his family and grandkids were important to him.

Darwin was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Dorl Johnston.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 19, 2003, at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Steve Cook officiating under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
