Darwin Bitton, 81, passed away on June 17, 2013 in Sun City West Arizona with his loving wife, Lonnie at his side.
Darwin was born November 3, 1931 in Menan, Idaho to Gertrude Harmon Bitton and Don Carlos Bitton. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School. Darwin served honorably in the United States Army for two years during the Korean Conflict era from 1954 to 1956. He also studied Auto Body Repair and Painting at Idaho State University, working on many local vehicles at several body shops in Pocatello and Salt Lake City. He was also self employed for several years.
Darwin married Donna Ann Ransom on June 1, 1954 in Mountain Home, Idaho. They were later divorced. He married Lonnie Hall on Jan. 10, 1976 in Pocatello, Idaho.
Darwin is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lonnie, children Kirk (Sidena), Scott (Virginia), Carolee and Mark (Denise) Bitton, step-children Cindy Rash, Mike Wilson, Darren Wilson, Tony Guerra and John Guerra, two sisters, Fontella Spelts, and Darlene Chapman. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ethel and a brother Donald.
Darwin was a loving husband, father, stepfather and friend, as well as a professional in his chosen career, auto body repair and painting. He will be missed by all.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Sept. 28, 2013 at the Little Butte Cemetery in Annis, Idaho. Services are under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby, Idaho.
