Darwin Gene Walker, age 63, of Rigby, died at his home, Sunday, January 31, 2010 from complications of Diabetes.
Darwin was born May 25, 1946, at Newark, New Jersey, a son of Zamire Walker and Annie Delila Robbins Walker. He attended schools in Iona and graduated from Bonneville High School. He married Betty Gail Clegg, August 2, 1974 in Rigby. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Throughout his life he worked in the agriculture business, farming as a young man and later with Rigby Produce and Basic American Foods. He was a member of the Idaho Falls CB Club, Bonneville Hands Up, and the Idaho Community Action Network (ICAN). As a member of the LDS Church and was involved for years with the Boy Scouts. Darwin enjoyed Fishing, Hunting and Bowling.
He is survived by his wife Betty Gail Walker of Rigby, one daughter Celina Gaye (Chris) Knutson of Chubbuck and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rigby 12th Ward LDS Chapel, 602 Sundance and 5th West with Bishop Ron Young officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
