David Harker Bell, 80, of Roberts, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Gable Assisted Living Center in Ammon.
He was born November 9, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho a son of Hyrum Victor Bell Sr. and Elizabeth Harker Bell. David was raised and attended school in Roberts graduating from Roberts High School. He continued his education at Ricks College in Rexburg. He married Peggy Jo Birch November 17, 1961 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were blessed with 3 daughters and 1 son. He owned and operated Bell Dairy in Roberts where he built his herd from 12 to 450 cows.
David was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; he served a mission to New Zealand, served as ward clerk and as a counselor in the Roberts 2nd Ward Bishopric. He also served on the high council in Roberts Stake for several years. David enjoyed outdoor activities; horseback riding, gardening, fishing, snowmobiling, camping and woodworking. He especially enjoyed his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Janet E. (Rory) Pancheri, of Howe, Idaho, Lori A. (Lee) Burtenshaw, of Terreton, Christine (Brian) Berrett, of Pocatello, son, Steven D. Bell, of Roberts, 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother Hyrum Victor Bell Jr.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2015 at the Roberts LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
