David Vance Bond

David Vance Bond, born on August 12, 1945, in Gallup, New Mexico, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of June 10. He was the beloved husband of Linda Lou Asay and a devoted father to Bryce, Jason, Cory, Lori, and Cody. David was also a cherished grandfather to 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the oldest brother to 3 younger brothers, whom he remained close with his entire life.

Throughout his life, David excelled in various roles, from his days on the farm and ranch to being valedictorian of his high school class. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and served a mission in the New England States. He was a construction management educator and a skilled general contractor, known for his dedication and expertise in the field.

In his spare time, David enjoyed hunting, shooting, and spending time with his family. He was a man of great resilience and creativity, evident in the homes he built, the house plans he drew, and the impact he made on those around him.

David's presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May his legacy of hard work, love for family, and passion for construction continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.

David is survived by his children Bryce (Robyn) Bond, Jason (Stacy) Bond, Cory (Ashlee) Bond, Lori (Cody) Stevenson and Cody (Brittany) Bond, grandchildren Madalyn, Mya and Mitch Bond, Quaden (Rachel), MaKayla (Ryan) Hawkins, MaKenna, MaKinley, MaKenzie, and Gavin Bond, Carlee (Cole) Barrus, Carter and Camree Bond, AJ and Darci Stevenson, Makiya, Tyson, Bailey and Hayzen Bond, great grandchildren Jorja Mahone, Josie Hawkins and Anson Barrus, brothers Jeff (Debbie) Bond and Kevin (Mary) Bond. David was preceded in death by his loving wife Linda, parents Vance and Maxine Bond and his younger brother Arnold (Evelyn) Bond.

There will be a Graveside service on June 15, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Ririe Shelton Cemetery 12463 E 129 N Rigby, ID 83442.
