David W. Knowles

David Winston Knowles; 63, of Rigby, Idaho died Thursday, September 26, 2002 of injuries from a motorcycle accident. David was born December 10, 1938 at Fort Smith, New Hampshire the son of Samuel Benjamin Knowles and Ethel Maude Stronach Knowles. He attended schools in the Boston, Massachusetts area and went to college at Wentworth Technical College for two years. He worked for Argonne National Laboratories as a Senior Nuclear Reactor Specialist. He had recently retired after thirty- six years. He married Della Kay Young on August 12, 1971 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church and had served as a Sunday School Teacher. He was a member of the National Riflemen Association and the American Motorcycle Association. He loved to ride his motorcycle, his horse, to go fishing, hunting and to talk politics. He is survived by his wife Della Knowles of Rigby, Idaho. Four daughters; Janet (Bruce) Benedict of Morro Bay, California, Bonnie (Bo) Medcalf of Rigby, Idaho, Amy (Eric) Klingler of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Laura (Mike) Pancheri of Tendoy, Idaho. A son; Peter Daniel Wasley of Rigby, Idaho. Two brothers; Robert Knowles and Samuel Knowles of New Hampshire. Eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Katie Wasley and a son David Charles Knowles. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, 2002 in the LaBelle 2nd Ward LDS Chapel at 1:00 P.M. with Bishop James Bazil officiating. The family will meet with friends at Eckersell Memorial Chapel on Sunday, September 29, 2002 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and at the LaBelle Church on Monday, September 30, 2002 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery in Annis, Idaho.
