Dean Carl Cramer joined his heavenly family, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the EIRMC of natural causes surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 31, 1926 to Carl Christian Cramer and Sadie May Browning. He was the oldest of 4 children. Dean attended schools in the Rigby area graduating from the 8th grade. Before completing high school he joined the Army in the fall of 1944 in WWII and was stationed in the Philippines and Japan. He returned September 1946 and met the love of his life, Betty Lou Rencher. They were married November 11, 1946. This marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple, March 11, 1959. To this union were born 4 children. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many capacities. He and his wife served a two year mission at the Family History Center in the East Rigby Stake. He was a self-taught mechanic. He worked at Jefferson Co-op, Nielsen Motors, BMC, Steeds, and Case Implement. In his retirement years he worked summers for Jefferson County Road and Bridge Weed Control, and spent winters in Quartzite, AZ. He is survived by his loving wife Betty Lou Cramer of 69 years of Lorenzo, Idaho, a son Jerry (JoAnn) Cramer of Lorenzo, three daughters: Linda (Gary) Myers of Ucon, Nikki Cramer of Ammon, and Tena (Mike) Barber of Lorenzo, and 14 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Cramer and step mother Charlotte, his mother Sadie May Browning Cramer and step father Mike Massengale, brothers Keith and Fred, a sister Ruth Park and granddaughter Lori Harris. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Lorenzo Ward L.D.S. Chapel (401 W. 1st S. Rigby) with Bishop Wood conducting. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel and on Thursday morning from 10:00 – 11:15 a.m. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the V.F.W. in Dean’s name.
