Dean Jabez Ritchie, age 59, of Rigby, passed away at The Wildflower of Rigby, Thursday, January 11, 2024.

Dean was born February 10, 1964, in Idaho Falls, a son to Jabez Dean Ritchie and Reva Elaine Lindholm Ritchie.  He attended schools in Iona and graduated from Bonneville High School.  He attended Ricks College in Rexburg before serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Raliegh North Carolina Mission.

Dean served in various leadership positions in school.  In church he served as Stake Sunday School 2nd counselor and temple coordinator.
He enjoyed basketball and golf.  He loved his nieces and nephews.

Dean is survived by three sisters: SuzAnne (Shane) Walker of Eagle, Julie (Tom) Perry of Boise, Janece (Derick) Moore of Rigby, a brother James (Melissa) Ritchie of Fields Landing, California.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Funeral services will be held at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main St., Rigby, Idaho 83442, Friday January 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.  The family will visit with friends Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery following services.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com
