Deborah Lee Johnson, age 58 of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.
Deborah was born March 25, 1959 in Logan, Utah; she was raised and attended schools there. Following high school, Deborah joined the US Army and served honorably. She continued her education at Utah State University. Deborah worked in the home healthcare industry and as a massage therapist. She also owned and operated a successful cleaning service in Logan.
Deborah was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a talented artist and enjoyed oil painting and making custom jewelry. She also loved collecting rocks and gems. She was extremely witty and loved to laugh and joke. She loved her beloved Michael Brugger, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters, Toni (Jerren) Barson, of North Logan, Utah, Loni Wright, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Tia Clark of Logan, Utah; 3 grandchildren, Carli, Dawson, and Logan; step-son, Louis Nathanael Brugger of Milliken, Colorado; brother, Deloy Johnson of Utah; sisters, LaDawn (Jonathan) Kissler, of Navarre, Florida, Sandra (Tracey) Rue of Twin Falls, Idaho, Candace (Kevin) Jensen of Twin Falls, Idaho; Carol Eichman of Hanford, California, Dorothy (Bill) Fullington of Texas, Donna (Steve) Austell Cruz of Fontana, California, Cheryl Johnson of Sunland, California; mother, Florence Smith of Glendale, Arizona, and the Jerry and Jolyn Clark family and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Glen Johnson.
Deborah’s family expresses their appreciation to the staff at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls for their compassionate and loving care. Thank you for the many stories.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Logan City Cemetery, 1000 N. 1200 E., Logan. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 13 th , 2019 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby. Services are under the care of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby, Idaho.
