Dee Elias Rainey; 76 of Rigby, Idaho died Friday, November 1, 2002 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Dee was born May 11, 1926 at Rigby, Idaho the son of George D. Rainey and Elsie Merrill
Rainey. He married Caroline Luana Miller, January 12, 1947 in Menan, Idaho. He served his
country for two years in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Philippines and Japan.
He loved going camping, fishing, hunting and was known for his life style, achievements and
love for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Luana Rainey of Annis, Idaho. Four daughters; Connie (Allen) Ball of
Idaho Falls, Idaho, Charlene (Lane) Blanchard of St. Anthony, Idaho, Janet (Arlin) Brown of
Boise, Idaho, Susan (Cleston) Mason of Rigby, Idaho. A son; Glendon Rainey of Annis, Idaho
and one sister Inez Geisler of Rigby, Idaho and two brothers; Cecil Rainey of Rexburg, Idaho and
Don Rainey of Moses Lake, Washington. Twenty-two grandchildren and thirty great
grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents, George and Elsie Rainey, two brothers, Alvin Rainey and Myrle
Rainey.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 4, 2002 in the Menan, Idaho LDS Stake Center
at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Keith Nelson officiating. The family will meet with friends at the
Menan LDS Stake Center from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte
Cemetery in Annis, Idaho under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home.
