DeEsta Widerburg, 71, of Rigby, died at her home Friday, September 02, 2005.
DeEsta was born June 17, 1934 at Annis, Idaho, a daughter to Henry Owen Ellis and Kathrine Morgan Ellis. She attended schools at Annis, Midway High School, Rigby High School and Madison High School. She married Melvin Dean Widerburg, December 27, 1967 at Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her family was the most important part of her life and she loved fishing, teaching her grandchildren to fish, camping, and gardening.
Survivors include: Husband Melvin Dean Widerburg of Rigby; 2 daughters: Tamara (Bob) Hoffman of Rigby, Linda Summers of Rigby; 2 sons: Mike (Anne) Summers of Alpine, Utah, Leonard (Susi) Widerburg of Ammon, 2 sisters: Yerda (Floyd) Smith of Sugar City, Idaho, Armista Johnson of Rexburg, Idaho a brother Ike Ellis of Idaho Falls, 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Garfield 2nd Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Eric Kunz officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel and on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
