Delores E. Labrum Wood

Delores E. Labrum Wood, age 88, passed away at her home in Rigby, Saturday, January 9, 2016. Delores was born December 15, 1927 in Rexburg, a daughter to William Arthur “Ted” Labrum and Marvol Francis Winn Labrum. She attended schools in Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School. She married B. Wayne Wood, December 6th, 1952 in Rexburg. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a member of the ESA Sorority for 66 years, a member of the Rigby Art Guild and Rigby Quilting Guild. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served as Stake Librarian, a teacher for the Primary and Sunday School, as Young Women President and as a visiting teacher. She enjoyed gardening, handwork and making cookies and pies. She is survived by her children: Lisa Wood (Paul) Hardyman of Rigby, Denise Wood (Jake) Hughes of Salt Lake City, Utah, Connie Wood of Rigby, Janeen Elkins of Ogden, Utah, and Stephen Ted (Carolyn) Wood of Rigby, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband B. Wayne Wood, a daughter Wendy, a son Curtis, two sisters and her brother. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rigby Stake Center, 258 West 1st North, Rigby with Bishop Carl Poulsen officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
