Delsy Phillips passed away at the early age of 50 at the University of Utah Hospital surrounded by her loved ones on May 16 2018 due to complications in emergency heart surgery. She was born on December 7th 1967, in Idaho falls Idaho, the daughter of Johnny Leo Mullins and Mary Lou Sessions Mullins. Delsy was the middle child of three children.
In 1986 she graduated Skyline High School and went on into the workforce. Delsy worked multiple jobs throughout her life, but most recently as an administrative assistant in the engineering department at BYU-Idaho. She married, her husband of 30 years, Kim Phillips on February 20th 1988. After which they started a family of 4 children which brought much joy and meaning into their life.
She enjoyed camping, going on four wheeler rides, and going on trips with family and friends. She was also talented at scrapbooking and crafting. Delsy took pride in service and making everyone feel loved. She was an amazing friend, mother and grandmother. Delsy may have been from a small town but her presence touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by everyone.
Survivors include; her husband Kim Phillips, her four kids; Dakota (Carrie) Phillips, Mataya (Sean) Cook, Paden Phillips, and Taibre Phillips (Tyler Bodily-Fiance), her grandson Roczen Cook, her mother Mary Lou Guthrie, and her two brothers Darren Mullins, and Johnny Mullins. She is preceded in death by her father, Johnny Leo Mullins.
Delsy’s celebration of life will be held May 21, 2018 at the Roberts Idaho LDS church. Viewing will be at 9:30am until 10:30am. Funeral will be at the Roberts Idaho LDS church at 11:00am. Burial service will be held at the Ucon cemetery following the service.
