Delwin B. Lehmberg, 74 of Lewisville, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 in his sleep at his home.
He was born August 5, 1940 to Wilson Brouilett Lehmberg and Neita Spencer Lehmberg in Marysville, Idaho. He joined his big sister, Marilyn Gaye. He was raised and attended schools in Macks Inn and Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School in 1959. He enlisted in the US Army in 1961 and served in Okinawa, Japan. He was honorably discharged then returned to Rigby. He married Lorraine M. Bramwell on April 14, 1967 in Lewisville; their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on April 14, 1977.
Delwin enjoyed being outdoors; fishing, camping, working in his yard, riding his 4-wheeler, and working on his car. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was a kind man with a heart of gold. He loved everyone and always put others before himself. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family he leaves behind.
He is survived by his wife; his love of 47 years, Lorraine M. Lehmberg of Lewisville, daughters, Johanna (JJ) Vanleuven of Lewisville, Heather (Kevin) Justesen of Lewisville, Noel (Fiance,Jeremy Gretzner) of Payette, his pride and joy; his grandchildren, Tyler VanLeuven, of Lewisville, Ryan (Tisha) Vanleuven, of Idaho Falls, Emily, Bethani and Kyra Justesen of Lewisville and Aspynn and Preslee Lords of Payette.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Gaye Anderson.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Lewisville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby prior to graveside services. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
