Dennis Kay Greener, 71, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away Friday, April 21, 2017. He was born June 25, 1945 in Burley, Idaho, the son of Barney Greener and Redamae Stevens Greener. He attended schools in Burley and graduated from Burley High School. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Florida. Dennis owned a sewing machine business in Pocatello, Idaho for many years. He also owned and ran a candy distribution company in Utah. On May 8, 1992, he married Peggy Ann Wade in Idaho Fall, Idaho. To the marriage, he brought six children to Peggy’s five. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 5, 1999. Peggy was his world. He adored her, and wasn’t afraid to openly embarrass her. Always showing his love and affection. Even though combining 2 families together made our early life together quite hard, we had become very happy and tranquil together. We loved to travel both far away on a cruise or going to SLC to the IMAX. Dennis loved people and puppies. He could talk to anybody anywhere and be the most happy. Our date night, which we did faithfully every Friday, had gone from dinner and a movie to a DVD and some pizza. His favorite foods were Kentucky Fried Chicken and making french fries and a pot of chili. He would eat anything placed in front of him after he made it spicy. Dennis is survived by his wife Peggy Greener of Idaho Falls, Idaho. His children; Tiffany Greener of Idaho Falls, ID, Stacy (Trent) Whitehead of Declo, ID, Brandy (Joe) Kraus of Murtaugh, ID, Janice (Ryan) Gillette of Colorado, Jill/Farah (Jono) Hampshire of Salt Lake City, UT, Brian (Cortney) Greener of Sacramento, CA, Jade (Jill) Woodhouse of Idaho Falls, ID, Spencer Woodhouse of Idaho Falls, ID, Barry (Amy) Woodhouse of Rigby, ID, Ryan (Marcela) Woodhouse of Idaho Falls, ID and Jared Woodhouse of Boise, ID. His siblings, Carmen Olsen of Hooper, UT, Beth Ann Cooper of Burley, ID, Delano (Mary) Greener of Burley, ID, Dale (Venda) Greener of Heyburn, ID and Kevin (Kami) Greener of Rigby, ID. As well as 37 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Shelby Greener, and brothers Devon Greener, Delano Greener and Donald Greener. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Mountain View LDS Ward Chapel (1450 Mountian View Ln, Idaho Falls, ID).
