Deral Joseph Haycock, 80, of Terreton, died Sunday November 17, 2002 at the Madison
Memorial Chapel. Deral was born December 2, 1921 at Soda Springs, Idaho the son of Joseph
Haycock and Elda LeVern Handy Haycock. He was raised and attended school in the Hagerman
area. Deral married June Albertson on June 25, 1946 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was
solemnized in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple. They were later divorced. He married Margie
Louise Quinton Young on December 8, 1979 at the Terreton L.D.S. Chapel in Terreton, Idaho.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Deral served as the door
greeter for 18 years, Sunday School coordinator, High Council member in the Roberts Stake, and
Secretary of the Terreton 2nd Ward High Priests Group. He lived in the Terreton area since 1962
and worked for the Idaho Fish and Game. Deral served in the Navy during World War II in the
South Pacific Theatre. Deral enjoyed his family and fishing.

Deral was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons Joe and Gene, 1 daughter Vickie, 2
grandchildren, and 1 brother.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. in the Terreton Latter-
day Saint Chapel. The family will meet with friends Tuesday evening 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at
the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, and Wednesday 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel
in Terreton. Interment will be in the West Jefferson Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell
Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
