Devron James Mitchell, 46, of Idaho Falls, died November 4, 2009 at his home, of congestive heart failure.
He was born December 27, 1962, in Boise, to James Mitchell, and Valerie Hill Mitchell. He attended schools in Rigby, and graduated from Skyline High School, in Idaho Falls.
On August 1, 2000, he married Holly Morgan, in Rigby, Idaho. Devron and Holly were blessed with one daughter, Morgan Lexi Mitchell
He worked concrete construction in the Idaho Falls area for 25 years.
His passions were his daughters, fishing, the cabin and the mountains, writing songs for the love of his life, and playing his guitar. He loved his family, friends, and enjoyed old trucks, race cars and his dogs. Devron was a devoted father, a loving, kind and gentle friend and a teacher to many. All those who came in contact with him were blessed by his kindness. A Special thank you to all who helped influence his life.
He is survived by His wife, Holly Mitchell, of Meridian, Idaho, a step-daughter, Chelsey Martin, of Costa Mesa, CA, his parents, Jim and Val Mitchell, of AZ, and a sister, Lindsi (Dale) Shippen, of Rigby.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Morgan.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 9, 2009, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby. Graveside services will be at a later date in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel, in Rigby.
