Dewayne Petersen Hodges

DeWayne Peterson Hodges, 85, of Rigby, passed away at his home January 21, 2018. DeWayne was born December 17, 1932 in Springfield, Idaho a son to Lamont Hodges and Adella Peterson Hodges. DeWayne served in the United States Air Force from 1953 until 1957. He married Gayle D Murrey in Las Vegas, Nevada June 20, 1970.  He worked as a Flight Procedure Specialist for the FAA until retirement.  He spent many years as a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, he was a life member of the Royal Order of Moose and a 31-year member of the Rigby Lions Club where he served as president twice, as district governor and as counsel Chairman. He dedicated 25 years of Lions Work to Vision Screening of Children in schools up and down the valley.  Survivors include his wife Gayle D Hodges of Rigby, five sons, Randy (Ramona) Hodges of Silver Springs, Nevada, Rick Hodges of Rigby, LaMont Hodges of Ririe, Edward (Karen) Hodges of Redondo Beach, CA. John (Susan) Comitas of Fountain Valley, CA, ten grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Geraldine Hodges.
