Dianne Elizabeth Halliday Millet was born 5 February 1954 and passed away, peacefully at home in Rigby, Idaho, on Palm Sunday, 2 April 2023.

Dianne was born in Filton, Gloucester County, England to Edwin Charles (Ted) & Marjorie Stowe Halliday. She came home to two older siblings, a sister Linda and a brother Christopher, later they welcomed little brother, Ian. She attended schools in England and earned her credentials to become a secretary with the distinction of 1 st place in the National Junior Secretary Exam.

Dianne was introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she chose to join and became a member at the age of 18. She left home to travel in the United States and worked in Canada before serving a full-time mission for her church. She was called to serve in the Canada Montreal Mission, French (Quebecois) speaking. While serving her mission, Dianne became life-long friends with one of her companions, Maureen Ottley Anderson.

Dianne married David Wilson and they had a son and a daughter. They were later divorced.

Dianne lived and worked in the U.S. and Canada starting in 1976. She applied for, and passed, the required tests to become a citizen of the United States in 1982.

Dianne met Clark Millet and they married in 1984, where they joined their two families from previous marriages, her 2 children and his 4 children, and later welcomed 2 more children.

Dianne enjoyed sewing, reading, journal writing, traveling and was very skilled at knitting, she made many beautiful sweaters, afghans, & blankets.

Although Dianne lived with the effects of Myotonic Dystrophy for many years, she continued to do the things she loved for as long as she was able. She was tenderly cared for by her loving husband until she was called home by our Heavenly Father.

Dianne was preceded in death by her father Edwin, mother Marjorie, and brother Christopher.

She is survived by her Eternal Companion and Husband, Clark Burr Millet. Her immediate family members: Linda (Sam) Ashfield, Ian (Jane) Halliday, Christa (Greg) Knudson, Brent (Christy) Millet, Larry (Sarah) Millet, Shannon Surerus, Taron (Andrea Packer) Millet, Breony (Joseph) Makubuya , Jordan Millet, Kalesa (Ed) Schmid, & 17 grandchildren/step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, 7 April, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Rigby Stake Center, 258 W 1 st N, Rigby, ID 83442. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, 6 April 2023 from 6:30 p.m – 8:00 p.m and Friday 7 April 2023 prior to the service from 9:30 am-10:45am; both at the Rigby Stake Center.

Interment will be in Rigby Pioneer Cemetery following the service.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com
