Dolores Ida Brown

Dolores Ida Brown, 85, of Rigby Idaho, peacefully passed away surrounded by family in her home on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

She was born on June 25, 1937 to Edward and Ida Leuth Kirby in Los Angeles, California. Dolores graduated from the El Camino College in Los Angeles.

During her working career, Dolores worked in the medical field as a medical coder.

On February 15, 1976, Dolores married the love of her life, Carl L. Brown in Reno, Nevada. They built a life together that they loved, and they have four children: Marie, Duke, Tony and Steven. Throughout their marriage, they lived in Culver City, CA; El Segundo, CA; Idaho Falls; ID and settling in Rigby, ID.

Dolores was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, currently part of the Rigby 20th Ward, and the Milo 1st Ward for many years before that.

Dolores loved to sew, crochet, scrapbook and spend time in the garden.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ida Kirby, three sisters and one brother. Dolores is survived by her sweetheart, Carl, of Rigby ID; sons Duke Hingley of Lake Havasu City AZ, Tony Brown of Superior MT and Steven Brown of Victor ID; daughter Marie (Bob) Dewey of Boise ID; sister Marie Hind of Lake Havasu City AZ; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dolores’ dear friend, Shauna Storer, for her friendship and help through the years.

Graveside services for Dolores will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ririe Shelton Cemetery.
